These shoes are made for walking

Two crazy fools decided to go for a walk today. And walk they did in the hot afternoon sun. They started the route through a neighboring neighborhood, past Squirrel lake, across Highway 485, passed a busy intersection, sought refuge at a church and continued onwards towards some offices.
5.8 miles (9.3 km) later, they were rescued by the parents.

Square head

Every time I feel this need to have my hair trimmed, I get the same old dilemma. Getting a hair cut is not a fun experience because I haven't found a hair salon that I like (yet). And I don't even get one every couple of months or so. My last hair cut was 6 months ago. Yes. SIX months ago. I got that one in Malaysia and I liked it.
Anyways, I decided it was time, and way overdue for a haircut. So I got one today on the way home from work.
I should have listened to my inner gut feeling telling me to walk out of the shop but I did not.
The stylist was somewhat rude. Maybe he had a bad day. But I should know better than to put my fate into the hands of a moody stylist.

Too late.

I came out looking like crap and then I had to pay him for it! And even gave him an obligatory tip! Damn.

I'm glad I did not let him cut my bangs. Or I'll really end up looking like this. Or worse.

Numb

Today, I went to the dentist to get a filling done on my molars. I dread going to the dentist. Who doesn't, right? The last time I got a filling job was probably ten years ago and so I was dreadfully anticipating this large needle sticking into my gums to make me numb. But I was pleasantly surprised.
They used some high-tech gadjet that goes beep, beep, beeeeeeep with just a little pressure (and slight pain) on the gums. Then, no feeling. Zilch.
All I hear is a rototiller, a chainsaw and I had a picture of a Black and Decker drill making its way into my numb gums. Not so fun.
Still, it wasn't so bad. Kudos to technology in the 20th century!
But I sure am going to brush and floss my teeth everyday now.
