It's snowing in March!

Big flakes started falling down from the skies around 6.30pm last night. And by 9pm or so, we had a nice good layer of snow to play in. I think we got around 4-6 inches of white snowman material snow.
So Jason and I put on our snow gear and went out to play.

This is Jason's snowman.

And me making a snowangel

This morning, as I was taking my packages out to the mailbox, I slipped and fell on the icy road. Nothing bad. Just bruises and scratches on my knees and palm. I was mentally telling myself not to fall as I was walking down the walkway and the next second, whooosh...splat. Clumsy me.

Blowing in the wind

The weather is starting to warm up and I'm looking forward to spring. Sunshine and flowers and warm weather is much needed to drive away the doldrums.

Everyone in my department wanted to go out for lunch today. Some of us rode in my boss' car and she had the top to her convertible down. Despite what you see in movies, your hair will NOT blow in one direction in a convertible. Aside from being unattractive, hair whipping in your face can be painful.
I wonder if there's such thing as a "convertible proof" hairspray. I was also paranoid that a bird would shit on me. Nevertheless, it was a cool ride.

But the Mexican food we had for lunch... well, that wasn't so cool. It's just funny why they even bother putting pictures of each item in their menu. Every dish looked the same. Meat, beans, rice and cheese in one mushy pile.

A loud awakening

Sometime in the middle of last night, I was woken up by this loud rattling sound on the balcony. I thought I was dreaming of being in a paintball war zone. But this was too loud. I can't be dreaming.
Then, Jason woke up and rushed to the balcony door and called me over.

Wha?? Meteors? Are we gonna die??

Turns out we had a hailstorm. The ice pellets that fell on our balcony were as big as a quarter coin, or about the size of a Malaysian 20 cents.

Record-shattering cold approaches

A chance to set the record for the coldest temperature ever in the month of April for Charlotte -- on Easter Sunday morning.

And we're heading to the mountains this weekend !!! Woooot!

If you don't hear from us next week, call 911 and tell them there is a high possibility two crazy humans have turned into an ice clump on the Great Smoky Mountains, somewhere near Gatlinburg, Tennessee.

Till then... Happy Easter!!!

Finally!!!

I got up at 4am, looked out the window and it was snowing!!! So I woke the husband and we went out to the balcony. But we didn't stay long outside. It was freezing! Duh.

Now the snow's gone because it's 30F. Just ice on the cars, the roofs, grass and trees and my poor plants.
